Mission & Bylaws
This Club is organized exclusively for charitable purposes as defined in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The purpose of the Club includes raising funds and purchasing goods or services to be used exclusively by student athletes and faculty / coaches at Purnell Swett High School or providing volunteers for program activities.
This Club shall be self-governing, self-supporting, non-commercial, non-sectarian, nonprofit and nonpartisan, and shall seek neither to direct the administrative activities of the Public Schools of Robeson County nor to control its policies.
Objectives
- To support, promote, and maintain high standards of integrity and good sportsmanship at all athletic activities of high schools.
- To foster and promote good will and fraternal support among members.
- To promote and ecourage better attendance to all sport activities by the parents, community citizens, the students, and the faculty of the high school.
- To promote and encourage more young men and women to get involved in athletics, either as an active participant or as a volunteer such as a statistician, manager, etc
- To raise funds to assist in the operation of athletic programs through the schools athletic fund. The booster club funds shall be raised in the name of the booster club and not the school.
